Life’s Little Mysteries

I wasn’t quite sure if it was blood on the mirror, but on closer inspection, it turned out to be something else entirely.

It was the flat, shiny, strips that gave it away. That, and the seeds now clearly visible from a better angle. Exactly how a tomato came to be splattered across the mirror like a fox on the freeway, I still have no idea.

Perhaps it had been thrown against the surface with the force of a Paul Gallen shoulder charge? Maybe it had been an exploding tomato?

Whatever the cause of the mess, the solution would remain one of Life’s little mysteries.
